Jeb Bush to Help Rebuild GOP
Newsmax ^ | 5/02/09

Republican political figures in recent days announced policy programs to challenge President Barack Obama's agenda and to counter perceptions that the GOP is a listless, leaderless "party of no."

In doing so, they're highlighting their differences with the Republican National Committee's political strategy.

House and Senate Republican lawmakers were the latest to launch a group independent of the RNC, announcing the formation of the National Council for a New America.

The group comprises potential GOP presidential candidates who plan town hall-style meetings to promote ideas different from Obama's. Their aides and allies have been vexed by the lack of comprehensive alternatives put forward by the national Republican leadership.

"One of the things that's constantly stated by the Obama administration spokesman is that the Republicans are the 'party of no,' and that the conservatives don't have ideas," said former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, whose brother, President George W. Bush, many blame for the party's unpopularity. "But conservatives, in general, have not done a great job on putting forward their ideas."

Winning battles means nothing if you don't use that win to take enemy ground.

That sums up the Bush presidency quite well. 6 years of majorities in the House and Senate and what did we get - farther into the sinkhole of socialism. His domestic policy was a joke.

An individual should be able to complete a few sentences in a row without a grammatical abortion before running for president,

Did you happen to see her speech at the convention when the teleprompter failed? Have you seen what happens to nobama everytime the teleprompter fails? Uhhhhhhhh - don't believe what the liberal media tells you.

Any Bush, including Jeb, joining an effort to revive the Republican Party would be laughable—if it weren’t simultaneously so sad and infuriating!

(And having Loser McCain in there isn’t much better. What’s alarmingly informative is having Cantor in there with them!)

Jeb should run for the Senate seat. He can spend a few years there and be the voice of hard-core conservatism if he wants us to vote for him as president. He did a great job as governor, but right now, I don’t trust another Bush to sit in the WH.

After 4-8 years of Obamunism, we will need a leader who is willing to throw some cold water in our faces and LEAD us back to freedom. We won’t need “compassionate conservatism” or “redefined conservatism” or any other form of “Obamunism-Lite”.

The message these guys are all NOT getting is that their time is gone. We need to move the capitol of the country to St. Louis...for starters..that alone will shake off the K St barnacles.

Tell Barack Hussein Obama to make some clear sentences WITHOUT a teleprompter.

We are the road to SOCIALISM and you're still obsessed with President Bush?

Palin has my vote whether she runs or not. She is the ONLY one who stands up for me.

The Bushes need to get a Brazilian. They just need to be GONE. Two pathetic Bushes have done their damage. No need for a third to come in and do even more to the Republican Party.
Never thought I’d ever repeat this phrase but..

“NO MORE BUSH NO MORE BUSH!”

You’ve been reading the leftist propaganda. If I recall correctly, Sarah Palin gave a convention speech without having to rely on a teleprompter that was malfunctioning (if not sabotaged). She is a better, brighter speaker than 95% of the politicians in Congress, and if you put Democrat words in her mouth and a D after her name she’d be a superstar and a President right now. The only hindrance she had was imposed on her in that three-legged race she ran with John McCain, where she was obliged to be something other than herself with the media.
As for Jeb Bush...I’m in the middle of breakfast right now so I’ll just not dwell on that.

We live in a new world - where responding to vulgar attacks with dignity is a death sentence. The vulgar attackers are seen as cool, as dissers with strong senses of self. The victim's failure to "get down in the gutter with them" sets him up to be a source of ridicule, not admiration.

I, too, wish Bush would have responded strongly to the unfair and brutal attacks directed at him. It would have done no good - they would have brutalized him for acting "unpresidential"! It was a lose-lose situation and it continues today. Republicans are damned if they do, and damned if the don't!

Jeb should run for the Senate seat.

I could see supporting him for a Senate seat. However the fear is that later the RINOs would congeal around him like some viscous sewage-like matter and push him for President. Then I'd have to bail...but Senate seat would be ok..

I'd leave the GOP forever if they pushed another Bush for President, though.

Like all politcal posturing, the GOP is pretending to be conservative but continuing their leftist politcy. They are so deservably destroyed and only the fools of America do not know it.
The third parties are the only hope for Ameican conservatives and all else will fail.

“. . . Jeb strikes me as the most competent of the Bushes.”
What does that mean? The two most obvious examples were terrible. Being the most competent of that pack is much the same as saying,”Sure I pissed on you but I was just practicing in case you caught on fire.”

If this is “The Plan” for the Republican Party, they are TOAST. As soon as you hear the words “inclusion”, “wider appeal”, and “reach out to minorities”, you KNOW it’s RINO-CENTRAL which ignores the U. S. Constitution, traditional values, FAMILY, and personal responsibility. CORE CONSERVATIVE VALUES and elimination of favored treatment of designated classes is the ONLY hope to bring America back from the Communist takeover we have in Washington now.

If you need a glimpse into mbraynard's PDS afflicted, hatefilled mind, here a few of mbraynard’s slimy insults against Gov. Palin:

Here’s the #1 problem I have with Palin: I can’t have as a president someone who knows LESS than I do about domestic and foreign policy - or someone who can’t speak a sentence or three clearly without a newspaper

_________________________________________________

I can promise you this: in less than 4 years, we will both be in agreement that Palin isn’t fit to be president.

_________________________________________________

don’t care. She failed in her soft-ball interviews, has never had a press conference, and can’t speak three sentences without a grammatical abortion taking place. I’ve done nothing for the last 15 years other than work to get Rs elected and advance the conservative movement. I know what we need and it isn’t her - not now and not ever. Her children need a mom, and with them is where she belongs.

_________________________________________________

That’s nobody’s “fault” it’s just life. Yeah, no one’s fault. That’s right. They were just playing Twister and someone called out “Hand Circle Green” and then “Penis Red Vagina.” Your defense of this is lame. Oh, and regardless, she SUCKED as a candidate and is a full on retard to boot.

_________________________________________________

I’m not. She is the one who should be ashamed. If your under-aged daughter is riding douchebag loser’s meat pole, you seriously screwed up as a parent. Or is shame dead?

_________________________________________________

Palin needs to stay in AK being a mom and making sure she doesn’t burden humanity with anymore bastard grandchildren.

_________________________________________________

She also fared poorly in the one-on-one with Couric in a way that a Thatcher or a W or a Reagan never would. Her lack of intellectual curiosity and inarticulateness (making her very un-Reaganesque on both counts) is what makes me not support her for 2012.
