FOX's Brilliant Business Move: Ignore Obama (NWS)
Business Insider ^

Posted on 04/30/2009 11:20:28 PM PDT by FromLori

It seems Fox made the smart move by deciding not to air president Obama's 100th-day press conference. The network beat every other broadcaster, all of which were carrying the president's speech, in the ratings. Fox's new episode of Lie To Me drew 7.9 million viewers. Fox also got millions in advertising revenue by running a normal TV program instead of Obama's commercial-free address.

In second place for the 8 p.m. hour was NBC's airing of Obama's speech, which pulled in 6.7 million viewers.

Are people finally getting bored with Obama's frequent speeches?

Those who tuned in to this were expecting obama. But they got an even better show.

I watched something on Discovery Channel and then turned over to EWTN. Neither of them were showing King Zero or even mentioned him at all.

I wonder if the MSM is covering every speech - so they won’t miss it when he declares himself KING.

When I see his face on TV, I switch channels, ...

Yeah, me too. But i don't have to watch the Obama hour to know that what he's saying would be lies.

No surprise there.
I fully expected Fox to smoke the other networks after they decided NOT to show Obunga spew out even more lies...and they did. No more Obunga nonsense speeches on Fox.

Are you saying they did show Lie to Me instead?

Apparently some local FOX stations ran the Obama news conference. I was (mostly) watching NCIS.

Fox was right in not giving into to Obama’s ego trip. Remember when the main networks refused to carry Bushes Addresses? They are not newsworthy. The only Obama speech I will tune into is his stepping down from power and resigning from the presidency. Now that will be newsworthy.

... or perhaps “Rahm-rod”? It does appear to be their policy of choice, at least on the Hill and in the West Wing. (Further deponent speculateth not.)
