I grew up on a farm and helped with the pigs for several years, I wonder if I am immune to the flu because I was subjected to lesser variant of it that my immune system could have inoculated me against?

Yet another reason I am glad I grew up on a farm.

You are aware that this isn’t your regular old-fashioned “swine flu”. It’s possible you would have increased immunity, but this has genetic sequence matches in part with 2 or 3 different strains of swine flu, No. American Avian Flu, and a strain of human flu virus.

Just FYI. :)

This is one reason I wish they’d stop calling it “swine flu”. This flu can be spread human to human, and it’s not quite as ‘harmless’ as regular “old-fashioned” swine flu like you had...

My daughter has a name for it I like: “Chimera Flu” LOL
