Unfortunately, I'm blocked from posting on the Illinois forum when I come up for the summer and fall months. I can read it, but not post. This is because I'm a Florida citizen for the time being.
It's difficult to organize anything when one can't use the state forum as a vital tool.
One year, I asked JimRob if snow birds could have special dispensation and post on two state boards, but the answer was in the negative.
I may organize some kind of dinner meeting or something when I get back to Downers Grove, but I'm running late this year and don't know when I'm returning. I'll know soon, however.
Thanks for thinking of me. When I retire from my retirement down here and return to D.G. permanently, I intend to be active in the Chicagoland chapter.

oh what a wonderful report from you all.. good job & so happy that you were able to do this. Ohio has had mixed results with attempts to congregate.. I was with Western NY FReepers for one of their get togethers.. well actually several but one BIGGER one.. always fun to put names/faces together & talk face to face.

Jim, please modify this policy. I understand that you don’t want someone “blasting” all the state boards with spam. But there must be a solutin here.
BTW, people DO JOIN more than one state group. They just use different screen names, etc. MinuteGal is just too sincere to be that cynical.
