This would be funnier if the poor man hadn’t died, but one thing it does make obvious is that this is certainly not striking only impoverished slum dwellers or folks in the rural areas. The early (March) cases in California were 2 children in counties near San Diego; I don’t know if they had any contact with poor or rural people either in the US or Mexico, but it’s highly unlikely that the director of the anthropological museum did.
