Feinkenstein’s husband Constructs military bases like the ones that he built in Iraq and throughout the world. His defense contractors overpay for work in the bases and she gives them other contracts through her Military Construction committee.

Perini has made a fortune hardcovering building in theater. Most of them were those evil no-bid jobs.

If policy decisions can now be criminalized by new administrations, then it will happen with every new administration. King Barry has know idea what can of worms he has opened up.

While Nazi Pelosi and the DNC are outraged at terrorists getting warm lemonade, corporate jet trips by CEO’s or excessive greed by Bankers, they are stealing 10s of $Millions right under our noses.

That seems to be a given in both parties!! The politicos are in it for the money, do tell!!!

"Why is it commonly considered legal for Congressional representatives to trade securities based on insider information?"

"The legislative and federal judiciary branches, however, have codes of conduct (from hereon categorized as “rules,” which are not legally binding) or no rules at all addressing the use of material, nonpublic legislative or judicial information for personal financial gain.."

"Some government officials--by virtue of their position to regulate industries, enact legislation, or render court decisions affecting businesses--have access to nonpublic, market-moving information that can give them an advantage in the stock market. A 2004 Georgia State study revealed that US Senators' stocks on average beat the market average by 12.3% annually."

" Under current insider trading law, it is unclear whether government officials trading securities based on material, nonpublic government information are liable for insider trading."

Top 10 Richest US Senators' Top Stock Trades in 2007and Potential Conflicts of Interest (5. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA)etc.

Don't you get it? "Do you know who I am?" or "Just because I can" scenario. Different rules for different folks. The hypocrisy.

This subject needs much more media exposure especially when election times roll around.

Brings to mind a certain female senator from Texas, when she killed the fence.

Closing the Congressional Insider Trading Loophole March 11, 2009 at 7:09 am

"........members of Congress and their staff currently do not owe any “duty of confidentiality” to Congress and can’t be held liable for insider trading based on congressional knowledge under the current laws. Nor is there anything at this time that would prohibit Congressional staffers and executive branch employees from sharing inside information obtained from Congress with their friends—potentially allowing the recipients of such information to use it to make huge trading profits or prevent big losses."

".....a loophole currently allows members of Congress and their “tippees” to engage in legal insider trading based on what they learn from their elected positions. The only way to close this loophole is for the very people that benefit from the loophole to close it themselves."

"So far, however, the efforts of Representatives Slaughter and Baird to end this loophole have gone nowhere, and there is nothing to indicate that Round 3 of their attempt to “Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge” will have any greater success. With hundreds of billions (if not trillions) of dollars of federal money poised to gush into the economy by the U.S. government, now seems like the perfect time to pass legislation such as the STOCK Act."

OFF SUBJECT BUT NOT REALLY ?: Freddie Mac executives recently battled with federal regulators over whether to disclose potential losses on mortgage securities tied to the Obama administration's housing plan, said a person familiar with the deliberations who was not authorized to discuss the matter publicly.(REPORT DUE THE END OF MAY).

"Gorelick collected a staggering $26.4 million in total compensation, including bonuses. Federal investigators (PDF) would later say that "Fannie Mae's management directed employees to manipulate accounting and earnings to trigger maximum bonuses for senior executives from 1998 to 2003." The New York Times would call the manipulations an "$11 billion accounting scandal." Gorelick, it should be noted, has never been charged with any wrongdoing."-Fannie Mae and the Vast Bipartisan Conspiracy A list of villains in boldface.

And this is the bottom line:

"........members of Congress and their staff currently do not owe any “duty of confidentiality” to Congress and can’t be held liable for insider trading based on congressional knowledge under the current laws.

The foxes run the chicken coop.
