The photos are being released in response to a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit filed by the American Civil Liberties Union in 2004.

everyone needs to go to the website that has all the photos of the Moussaoui (sp?) trial evidence..included in there are various pictures of WTC jumpers AFTER they ‘landed’ on the ground and cars etc, and various pictures of what was left of some pentagon victims...now the photos are EXTREMELY graphic and disturbing..and I admit I did not sleep well for a few nights after I saw them...however Americans NEED to see these..they are forgetting to dam fast and the apathy is going to get many many many many more savagely killed
FOX has to have some really gruesome pictures that have never been released. I think that now would bea good time to get them out into the public view.
Of course the photos of our troops helping people will not be released. A friend, Jobe Galli, raised money to have kids get heart operations while in Afghanistan. He wondered as a Navy Officer what the hell he was getting posted to Afhganistan for. He provided logistical training to afghani’s. One of the locals invited him to dinner. He noticed the locals son had an unusual coloration, one he had seen before , in his own son. He raised the money, ( mostly from surfing friends in florida) to fly the kid out and get the kids heart fixed. He understood why he was in Afghanistan, to help people.
Demand that the NYet Times and their daughter paper the Boston Glob run them.

I heard that one man was impailed on a light post. A horrific scene of carnage. Of course, the images of jihadists dancing in the streets to such images (even years after the event) would also not sit well with the public.
The sheeple are being kept ignorant of the wolves out there.
Don’t they know that when the whole Abu Ghraib situation came to light and the Koran being flushed down the toilet info came out, that it caused problems in Iraq and Afghanistan for our troops? I really really really have a problem with the motives of this administration. I’m not liking what I see in these first 100 days.

Newsweak lied about the Koran. And the NYet Times kept Abu Ghraib on the front page for 30 days straight. Their goal was to throw the election against Bush.
In the end, it extended the length of the war because it encouraged the jihadists that the Great Satan HAD invaded. That’s treasonous.
It also marked another turning point in the war, dwindling support for the war at home. That’s also treasonous.
The men and woman were already under trial. In fact they were leaked through Democrats after one of the men was unable to blackmail the government into securing a safer plea bargain.
To me, that is blackmail AND treason. TWO crimes.

Yeah I knew the Koran thing was bogus, I was trying to make a point...one thing I always heard from my husband is perception is reality for a lot of people. Unfortunately, that was the perception the ME received due to our media. Totally agree about the blackmail and treason.

Well I didn’t mean it in his terms...LOL. I meant it as the press putting those stories out made it seem like we were involved with institutional abuse and instutional disrespect of the Islam, even though I believe America is one of the few countries (the only really) who has been tolerant and compassionate of others throughout our history.
As a result, those in the ME believed it and sadly some Americans believe it. I can understand how those in the ME would believe it. I worked with Iraqis for 3 years to support the efforts in Iraq and the culture is very very different from ours. How can I say it...what ever you tell them, they take it very literally. I learned my lesson the hard way more than a few times. I knew what you meant. I was just saying once that info got out, whether it was true or not, caused a lot of problems for our personnel on the ground because of the perception of those in the ME. That’s what I am upset and worried about because I have family and friends in both countries...my family has suffered, other families I know have suffered greatly. I agree. I can’t stand him. It’s worse than the Clinton years, IMO.
