Bedford, VA - The last remaining member of the World War Two "Bedford Boys" has died. The group was part of the D-Day invasion. Ray Nance passed away yesterday, at 94-years-old. He was one of 34 servicemen from the Bedford area who landed on the beaches of Normandy on June 6th. Nance was second-in-command of the A-company and was also the only officer in the company who made it home. While he was alive, the veteran visited the D-Day Memorial in Bedford once a week.

What a great tragedy for America that we have such an evildoer in the White House.
rest in peace true American Hero. You have successfully completed your full mission on earth...now go rest in the shade a while.... We will never forget what you and all your bretheren did on that June day...I’m sure you have already been welcomed home by all your brave comrades who have been holding your seat for you....God Speed Hero..God Speed....
By the way ..the Bedford Boys is one of the greatest books I have ever read...its a fast read...but amazing and you will feel connecting to all these men by the time you are finished. I recommend everyone in here to read that book!

Ditto, one of the best WWII books. Good luck reading it without ‘misting up’ several times.
Actually all of Alex Kershaw’s WWII books are excellent reads.
