Latin America is not the way it is because the US exploited it. It’s because dictators like Chavez himself have made it so. If Obama wants to lend the good name of the US to Chavez’s treachery, then leave me out.

I know what you mean, but my husband likes to keep up with what’s going on. However, when the “news” is so slanted to the left that you can’t trust it, I don’t know what good it does anyway to watch it.

Anybody familiar with what’s in this particular book Chavez gave to Zero? I know the subject is “blame Europe and America”, but I’m curious to know if there is anything in there more recent than the CIA helping Pinochet overthrow Allende, or perhaps Ronald Reagan helping the contras oust the Sandinistas.
Given President Obama’s education, he probably could have written the book.

Will never happen in today’s political atmosphere with our lawmakers looking out for themselves and ignoring the needs of our country.

Most are, I agree, but here in the heart of Texas I know several seemingly intelligent people, both male and female, who are generally conservative on most issues who also voted for Obama. I think it was a combination of white guilt, and getting caught up in the historical moment. I don't know how many votes that translated to across the country but if you combine them with the media blitz, the out right lying by Obama on what he was and stood for, the voter fraud by ACORN and others, and our very weak candidate who seemed determined to lose and we get a small-margin victory for the Communists.
Whether we can recover while fighting media that has become a Democrat house organ rather than journalists and overcome the voter fraud perpetrated by those in charge, I don't know.
