President Obama shook hands with Venezuela's Hugo Chavez on Friday at the opening of the Summit of the Americas being held this weekend in Trinidad and Tobago.

It wasn't immediately clear Friday evening what words were exchanged between the two leaders, but photos released by the Venezuelan government show Obama clasping Chavez's hand and smiling broadly.

I shall re-read the Book of Revelations....seems about the right time for that.

This is all happening too fast for me to grasp all of the nuances to the daily slide to commie hood.

Everyday there is a new push towards slavery to the State.

BUT WE ALSO SAW THE LARGEST ANTI-PRESIDENT RALLY IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES TO OCCUR SO SOON IN A NEW PRESIDENTIAL ADMINISTRATION, IN HUNDREDS OF CITIES AND TOWNS.

Things are really happening.

And the Tea Party crowd in liberal Manhattan was reported by the NYPD to be 12,500.

This imposter is not my president. It appears that we have been overtaken by Marxists. A coup of unprecedented proportion is pouring from the bowels of the Trojan horse that received the majority of votes cast last November.

How many of those votes were fake ACORN votes, or folks voting three, four, five times? They have no honor. BUT they have awoken the sleeping giant who turned out in the US streets in unprecedented numbers (for non-professional demonstrators, just average people)...and this counter Obama movement will GROW. People all across this land are waking up and they are being led by those who never fell asleep in the first place.

"Obama is a weakling President closely resembling and as bad as Jimmy Carter" .... It is almost as if the man and his inner circle have some kind of sick DEATH WISH for the Republic, our good allies, and our very way of life...

The Japanese have a point, but you have an even better point. The Carter-Obama comparison goes only so far. Carter--for all his myriad faults--meant well by the country. He was a Navy man. He actually served his country. Although his policies were disasters (and we are still dealing with the fallout, e.g. Iran), I believe Carter was a true-blue, naive liberal. He actually thought his policies would benefit the country. He was completely wrong, but ultimately sincere. I believe his rancour and bitterness towards this country didn't develope until later.

Obama is an entirely different animal. He is incompetent, but he is vicious too. He does NOT mean well by us. He wants to take us down a notch and make us feel the lash of justice. Everything in his upbringing and education inclines him to believe that we deserve it. He will be history's instrument vengeance. Carter was a true naive liberal; Obama is an America-hating neo-Marxist. Obama truly intends harm.

I'm amazed at the shamelessness of Obama's affronts. He seems to fear no consequences. Maybe he thinks nothing can go against him after surviving the Rev Wright tapes, the bitter clinger remarks, et al, and winning the election. Obama evidently believes that nothing that comes out about him will provoke a serious reaction. Let's hope he continues the overreach.

“If Chavez initiates talks, Obama would likely agree, Gibbs Gibbels says”

There, fixed it... Gibbels HIMSELF identifies his job description as "Keeper of the Image"... NO JOKE (see Helen Thomas' article posted this morning...) [Credit to FReeper Izzy_Box for the "Gibbels" nickname]

I watched Reagan’s First Inaugural Speech last night. It was the first time I had ever really heard it (I was 8 in 1980, and if I heard it I don’t remember...). Couldn’t hold back the tears at the end... I’ve ALWAYS loved Reagan, but looking back as an adult, I now know WHY he inspired that kind of feeling in a child who couldn’t understand the problems we really faced...

The comparison between Reagan speaking of economic crisis and how to overcome it, and UNITE the American People, and stand strong against our enemies no matter WHAT, and Obama’s propaganda spiel is a very stark contrast.
