Obama, Chavez Shake Hands at Summit of the Americas

President Obama shook hands with Venezuela's Hugo Chavez on Friday at the opening of the Summit of the Americas being held this weekend in Trinidad and Tobago.

It wasn't immediately clear Friday evening what words were exchanged between the two leaders, but photos released by the Venezuelan government show Obama clasping Chavez's hand and smiling broadly.

I never thought I would look back at the Clinton years as better days, but I don't know what to think any more.

My late father was a decorated WWII veteran (2 Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star). Like many who were drafted into the war, he came home in '45 an FDR Democrat. He then went on to Harvard and the University of Chicago on the G.I. Bill.

He was a brilliant man, and a proud FDR liberal. While we did not agree on politics, I can safely say that if my father where alive today, he would be disgusted by Obama's behavior. I only mention this because even though the MSM are trying to portray Obama as a modern day FDR, even those who supported the New Deal would be horrified by what we face today.

We live in dangerous and historic times. We have a President who is not a patriot, but rather a traitor. Chances are this post is being monitored by the DHS and being filed as "radicalized extremest right-wing chatter".

2010 is our last and best hope. We must learn from the Dems and organize in an effective and internet-savy fashion. We can tear down this Socialist Revolution with our vote, but we must get that vote out!!

America hasn't really changed. We were beaten by an energized minority, but the majority of Americans still believe in this country and all she stands for. But we need to get back on our feet and throw these socialist bastards out of office. It isn't really that difficult a task. The tea parties are a fantastic start, but we must keep the momentum going. We must retake congress in '10. Only then can we retake the White House (and America) in 2012.
