Free Republic - Numerous News Outlets ^ | 04/17/09 | Henchster

Posted on 04/17/2009 3:15:10 PM PDT by Henchster

CONGRATULATIONS! We are now up to ALL 50 states plus D.C., 485 cities, and can document no less than 602,000 and as many as 680,000 patriots took place in the greatest grass roots act of defiance since 1773!

EVERY state in the Union protested Washington D.C.'s tax and spend scheme.

You can check to see if your tea party is listed HERE if not, post a comment on this thread citing the city, state and headcount.

THANK YOU EVERYONE!

About 50+ area locals showed up for the event, many of whom learned about the event from a small sign at the entrance to Waterfront Park.

I wish I could get a number on the Leesville, LA event. Put down 75 - 100 and call it good. That’s a fair sized town.

A couple days and about a million posts ago, I told someone there was no real chance we would get a million.

Now, I’m thinking, as we get closer, people are going to start coming out of the wood-work to put us “over-the-top.”

Thanks again for your help!

Punta Gorda, FL — Pajamas Media reports 2000, “more than a thousand” per local paper (I trust the higher number more because the reporter in the Charlotte Sun was VERY snide in their tone and didn’t bother to quote organizer crowd reports or get a police estimate)

Venice, FL — “more than 500”
