CONGRATULATIONS! We are now up to ALL 50 states plus D.C., 485 cities, and can document no less than 602,000 and as many as 680,000 patriots took place in the greatest grass roots act of defiance since 1773!
EVERY state in the Union protested Washington D.C.'s tax and spend scheme.
You can check to see if your tea party is listed HERE if not, post a comment on this thread citing the city, state and headcount.
THANK YOU EVERYONE!
Note that CharlesTON WV (state capital, 2000 attendees) is not the same as CharlesTOWN WV, Eastern Panhandle, 700 attendees, and they both should be listed.
Added 8,785 people to your list by my count. Hope I’m
not annoying you. Trying to get to 10,000!
Nice catch, thanks.
We know this list is going to be accurate, because local FReepers are chiming in with quality info, not the junk you get from the MSM.
We went to the Fort Worth, TExas rally but according to the Hood County News today, there were two held in Granbury, Texas. One was at midday in Shanley Park (300) and another held that evening at the Court House (estimated 300 for that one).
You’ve been a great help. Thanks again.
Another great piece of local reporting by FReepers. Both Granbury tea parties are now on the list. Thank you.
Plymouth NH -200 (Town Common)
Estimate from here a Free Republic (Past Your Eyes)

St. Cloud, Minnesota - 500 attended acording to the St. Cloud Daily Times, Thursday, April 16, 2009 newspaper.
He shoots he scores! Another nice find.
We’re getting real close to another milestone - a minimum of 700,000 patriots!
WORCESTER, MA - 1500 (revised from 700)
some report as many 2000

THANK YOU EVERYONE!
This is my last one tonight as I added 10,785 people to your list, 785 over my goal.
Naples Fl - 2000 (Beacon Bowl)
Naples Fl - 1000 (Naples Tennis Club and Resort)
Two different events totaled 3000, adding 1000 to your total. http://www.naplesnews.com/news/2009/apr/15/two-tax-day-tea-party-protests-be-held-today-colli/
Great work! Cheers!
Although Marysville had its Tea Party on the Saturday before the big event.
Chico is on the list. Do have any numbers for Marysville?
“Friendswood (Tri-County), TX - 600+ TriCounty Tea Party This was the promoter’s site and estimate - could not find media source to confirm.”
Friendswood had 600+. I was there. The Galveston County Daily News said “more than 300.” Why? Because the seats in the amphitheater where it was held were full — they hold 200 — and there were at least twice that many behind the seats. So therefore, since the blind newspaper reporter cannot go less than 300, without seeming like a total bozo, he picks 300.
Want to see for yourself that the 600 number is probably correct? Go to the video at the GCDN website (http://galvestondailynews.com/blog.lasso?permalink=ad1e5a0d50414539). There is one short crowd shot showing part of the seats and about a quarter of the crowd. You can easily see that there are twice as many standing behind the seats as in the seats. 200+2x(200)=600.
Mission closed to accomplished. Congrats all on a great grass roots effort to establish accuracy in reporting.
So how do we get the word and proof out to Fox News and the MSM?
If they haven’t picked up on it by now, we’ll e-mail it to Fox News, and as many other media outlets as it takes.
That will be the next FReeper project! {;^)
The fewer the Tea Partiers the greater the HONOR!
And Tea Party Day shall neer go by, From this day to the ending of the world, But we in it shall be remembered, We few, we happy few, we band of Freepers. For he to-day that protests with with me Shall be my brother; be he neer so vile, This day shall gentle his condition; And gentlemen in Washington D.C. now a-bed Shall think themselves accursd, they that raise our taxes, And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks That Protested with us upon Tea Party Day.
