Here are a few suggestions:

1. Term Limits! Read your Constitution regarding Amendments.

2. Reduced Congressional sessions. The less time in Congress, the less damage they can do.

3. A Constitutional Amendment or US Code change that requires ALL Fedgov legislation adhere to the original intent of the Founding Fathers, including their personal correspondance;

4. Sunset clauses in all legislation, except for military funding and other Constitutional essentials. The very few mandates by the Fedgov.

I can go on, but the above is a start, especially a TERM LIMIT Amendment. The Founding Fathers, in their wisdom, never meant for politicians to be lifelong politicians. Their concept was to serve for a couple of terms and go home. I suggest (2) terms for Senators and (4) terms for House representatives. I would prefer less, but the above is reasonable.

The TEA Partys were a good start. Now we need to focus on how to change the DC mechanism. WE NEED TO FOCUS ON IDEAS!

Our founding fathers would have just stopped filling out their tax returns. They would have stopped paying taxes. Of course they lived miles and miles away from the homeland in a new land that England didn’t have the resources or technology to control. We don’t have that luxuary.

Once in a while in history, a political party must choose to either get as much money as possible or to get as many votes as possible. Once in a while, a political party cannot have both, and that once in a while can be a long period of time for mortal human beings.

Choose to get the votes or to see the default. Either way, we’ll see some national social corrections.

Sorry, but I don't think term limits are going to work. A selfish, ignorant electorate begets selfish, ignorant politicians. Term limits will only get you a new group of selfish, ignorant politicians.

Now, if you want to get their attention, tax their pensions at 90% like they did the AIG bonuses.

Those are all good ideas, but we can't do any of them w/o control of the legislature. And I realize that the dhims are working overtime to prevent even the possibility of a comeback by the GOP.

I therefore believe that the most importantb activity we can engage in now is working on the 2010 midterm.

There needs to be a conservative protest organization. It is time for that and conservatives need to keep this movment going. And it should expand to include a sort of ‘Sons of Liberty’ type gathering because you can bet the scoundrels are going to go for silencing dissent. So you need to get ahead of their next movements. They are flagrantly looking to make this a fascist state with mock ‘elections’. Look at the Census with ACORN continuing on, look at their movement to give citizenship to illegals and all their hostile moves. That is the only way they could possibly keep power as they continue to push these socialist policies and things get worse and their messiah crashes and burns. The movement will only grow and should be continued.

Get your representative to sign on as a co-sponsor to HR-450
and tell them that in the next election we are going to ask any one running for representative to sign a pledge to work for the passage of this bill. The bill requires any new legislation to cite where in the Constitution it is authorized.

The TEA Partys were a good start. Now we need to focus on how to change the DC mechanism. WE NEED TO FOCUS ON IDEAS!

I think that if we want to have just one or two issues around which we coalesce, we should keep the focus on lowering taxes and NO MORE DEBT. Keep it at that. It is simple, it makes good bumper sticker material, and even moderates and some liberals can get behind it. The BS polls which say that most Americans are fine with their tax levels, assuming that the polls have any validity, do not take into account all of the hidden taxes that we all pay everyday. For instance, any tax on a corporation translates into higher prices on consumer goods.

The number one thing to focus on, though, would be NO MORE DEFICIT SPENDING. NO MORE BAILOUTS. Simply focus on that. Once we get a major movement with that as its focus, then we can shift into the other items that you listed.
