"The reality: If nominated, Toomeys prolife views would cost him what remains of traditional Republican support in the Philadelphia suburbs and his anti-stimulus stance would damage him with working-clsas voters elsewhere in the state." - Frum
The reality: if the GOP were remade in Frum's vision it'd reside (politically) somewhere between Caracas and Pyongyang.

Frum must be living on another planet. If abortion-on-demand is such a winning issue in Pennsyvania suburbs, perhaps Frum can explain why the LAST successful RAT Senate candidate from Pennsyvania (Bob Casey Jr.) repeatedly claimed to be a pro-life candidate and said he disagreed with his party's platform. (as did his father when the elder Casey was elected Governor in the 80s) Why not run as pro-abortion if it's so much more "popular" in the suburbs? (speaking of which, wasn't the last LOSING Dem Senate in PA, Joel Hoeffel, pro-abortion?) And how the heck did Casey win those gosh darn suburban voters in the first place? Let's see... they voted Santorum (pro-life) 1994, Santorum (pro-life) 2000, Casey (pro-life) 2006. Funny how those abortion-loving suburbanites keep nominating and electing self-proclaimed pro-life Senators, eh Frum?
