Society rewards the institution not the individual.
Marriage between a man and a woman offers and reinforces the contiuation and propagation of society.
Homosexual behaior offers NOTHING to society. The do not reinforce future generations.
Even a childless couple reinforces the model of producing children. Even a childless couple could adopt a child and the child never know they are adopted but produced of the union of a man and a woman.

These people who are trying to push same sex marriage don't understand that at all. They are undermining the institution as well as society. Then again maybe that's their purpose.
