Naples, Florida has quite the turnount on US 41 near the Vanderbilt Beach area...we just drove by. We are here on vacation and to house hunt. We are moving down here this summer because I was accepted into law school at Ave Maria. We’re pretty excited. When my husband saw the turnout for the tea party he said I like it even more here.
Upper Michigan Tea Party report here (Escanaba) Film coming soon. Had a turnout of about 100, in full spirit. Hope the DEQ doesn’t fine us for the tea in Lake Michigan!
Neil Cavuto reporting in. The tea party is hours away and it is packed already.
Tacoma, WA had about a hundred people with at least one 20 car convoy to the rally at the state capitol. A second convoy left after I did.
Went to a local one..down in Viera,Florida...about 250 people there between the time frame I was there 8 am til 11:00..it was scheduled to continue until 1 pm. VERY LOUD...people were staying about an hour or 90 mins and going into work late. Tons of signs. There are 5 local tea parties today...local press was there...a few news cameras.
Major Tea Party on Sunday the 19th at Wickham Park in Melbourne...they are expecting 3-4,000 there.
HUGE tea party in Chicago!!!! At least 5000 here. Just sang the National Anthem.
Just came back from TEA party in Farmingville, NY - the home to a very large illegal immigrant population that was documented in the movie “Farmingville”.
About 20 people there and many stopping by to sign up. Some VERY angry folks there (me included!)
Mancow, the DJ revving up the crowd. “Don’t spread MY wealth around, spread my work ethic”!
I just heard from a friend who works in downtown Madison, Wisconsin...almost 6,000 people downtown for hours honking horns and blasting Twisted Sister over and over.
Tea time ping
Just got back from the Denver Tea party, at about 10:30 is was as big as the one they held in February, When walking back to work (someone’s got to work to pay taxes) North on the 16th street mall I saw quite of few people walking towards the capital with their signs and some even brought their children along as well.
When walking back I caught the eye of a guy with a sign that read “ATLAS will Shrug” I nodded at him and shrugged my shoulders, I think he got my simple acknowledgment of my support.
The RTD system is probably getting quite the workout today as it looked like rush hour at the light rail station and that was at 11:00.
If you are able to go and you are in Denver or if you work downtown Denver, take your lunch hour at the capital, just go and at the very least lend your warm body for support. We owe it to our futures.
Some disruptions going on in Madison, Wisconsin...apparently counter protestors have arrived...
Crowd gathers for Madison tax protest; counter-rally expected

Madison - Mary Phelps of Burlington came to the Capitol on Wednesday to protest the leadership of President Barack Obama and Democratic Gov. Jim Doyle.
She was in place one hour before a rally to protest what she said was an erosion of personal freedoms under Obama and overspending by the governor. The rally was sponsored by Americans for Prosperity. The state Republican Party provided buses that brought protesters from an outlying parking area to the Capitol.
“I’m really upset at the changes that Obama has made,” Phelps said. Her sign told Obama to “Keep your change. I’ll keep freedoms. God bless the USA.”
But Scot Ross, executive director of the Democratic-leaning group One Wisconsin Now, said his group was organizing some counter-protesters.
“If this corporate-funded rally is to oppose raising taxes on the wealthiest 1%, then we think the wealthiest 1% should show up and thank the crowd for protecting their tax breaks and opposing the closing of offshore tax havens,” Ross said.
Earlier this year, Doyle signed into law a tax increase on businesses, which Democrats said ended loopholes that have allowed them to not pay state income taxes. Doyle also wants to create a new tax bracket, with a tax rate of 7.75%, for what he said would be the richest 1% of Wisconsin residents. Republican legislators have argued that the state should cut spending rather than raise taxes.
The Capitol “tea party” rally is one of many being held across the country to coincide with the deadline to file federal and state income taxes.
I have a nice phone video clip of the Tea Party that just finished at 1:00 EDT today. I don’t have the capability to post it here from work, but if someone would like to post it up, pls send a number via private mail and I can text it over to you. Thanks.
I would like to see one picture from all 50 states.
Perhaps a photoshop montage of a map of the USA with a picture in the shape of the specific state?
So picture from texas would be in the shape of texas and fitted like a puzzle piece in the picture of the USA.
