Sen. John Cornyn says Republican Sen. Arlen Specter is the GOPs best bet to keep his Pennsylvania Senate seat from falling into Democrats hands.
As I survey the political landscape of the upcoming 2010 elections, Cornyn wrote in a letter released by his office Tuesday, it's clear we need more candidates that fit their states. While I doubt Arlen could win an election in my home state of Texas, I am certain that I could not get elected in Pennsylvania. I believe that Senator Specter is our best bet to keep this Senate seat in the GOP column. A vote for Arlen Specter is a vote for denying Harry Reid and the Democrats a filibuster-proof Senate.

Keep it in the GOP column like it was during the Porkulus Maximus vote?
Sorry, Sen. Cornyn. Your RINO colleague, Sen. Snarlin' Arlen Sphincter [D-Penna.] must go.
And, with any luck, the bastard will take McCain with him.
Toomey 2010!

I saw that this morning and it really pissed me off.. he was Texas’ strongest Senator and right on a lot.. but he just showed he is part of the good old boy’s network before anything.

Arlen Sphincter absolutely must go. The only apology I still want from the Bush Administration is for Dubya coming into PA to support the sphincter during his last election. Sphincter has already started attacking Toomey and he hasn’t even formally put his name in the ring yet. Shows that Arlen is running scared. I want to see him lose big.
Cornyn’s support of Arlen is one reason I am not optimistic that the Pubbies have learned their lesson from the trouncing in the last two elections.

Amen to that!
I don't know what's up with Cornyn. All the time in D.C. apparently has brainwashed him. He and Spectre are completely out of touch with the people.

A similar article was posted this morning and some nimrod told us all that we had to support Specter or he might not vote against card check.
Personally, I’m tired of waiting for Specter to throw a few crumbs our way when it is in his political interest. We need a senator who will stand on conservative principles.
Toomey gets my vote next year, and despite what the defeatists may tell you, he WILL win in November.
To: rabscuttle385
I’d rather see the seat fall to the Dems after a real Conservative ran a campaign. PURGE the party of the RINOs.
