National Republican Senatorial Committee Chairman John Cornyn has thrown his weight behind Sen. Arlen Specter, who is likely to face a tough renomination fight against former Club for Growth President Pat Toomey:
"My job as head of the NRSC is to guide the GOP back to a majority in the Senate," wrote Cornyn to Pennsylvania Republicans. "I can't do that without Arlen Specter. With him as our nominee, I can target our campaign resources toward beating Democrats and growing the Senate Republican Conference."

Meanwhile, Michael Steele is busy using OUR T-parties to solicit funds. Folks, this is getting ugly. They smelled a good thing and like sharks, they come a-calling.
I hope that this doesn’t turn out to be another of those “If you elect me,I’ll give you this” events. Frankly, if any politician of whatever party shows up, he should have his mouth and hands duct taped.

Specter is not even a rino! He’s always been a dem. He switched parties, to republican, long ago, just to win an election. HE’S A DEMOCRAT!
I guess they won’t get a donation from me this year.

A little reminder for FReepers:
Last week there was a Special Congressional Election in IL-5. The Republican nominee was a FReeper by the name of Rosanna Pulido. She is a pro-life, pro-constitution, pro-secure borders, pro-veteran, rock-ribbed Reagan conservative.
Our own chicagolady received NOT ONE BIT of support from her own party. Nada. Nothing. Zilch.
How long is it going to take before folks realize that they’re being loyal to people who aren’t the least bit loyal to them or what they believe?
Here’s the deal: Give up every principle you hold dear and in exchange they’ll give you........NOTHING.

What most posters missed is that Cornyn gave verbal support (which I wished he had not), but also said they would not give Specter money.
That means Toomey has a chance if we send contributions to him instead.
Specter was on Howard Stern and fundraising in New York City. It makes me sick to see our PA Senator soliciting money in NY.
Specter made a deal to withdraw support for card check in exchange for GOP support. As long as the GOP does not give him money, I am OK as it gives Toomey the chance to unseat Snarlin Arlen.
It’s a union mentality. We’ll defend you because you are ours (on paper).

They need to be reminded that they are part of the problem that has led to the protests.
Tell Cornyn he can’t survive with Sphincter!! Tell Cornyn to ask PA Republicans and Conservatives and NOT be Stupid!
