Years ago, the Cuban Commies cherry-picked the vehicles, seized'em, and sold them to European collectors ... the "owners" ... if they were really lucky7, received a Russki Lada in exchange. I.E., the Russian version of the 1965 FIAT 124 Sedan ... with heavier duty suspension ... and a pretty good cheap utility vehicle. There reportedly are still many 40's and 50's still on the streets, but far fewer than there used to be. Common personal transport seems to be CHICOM bicycles, which look like something from 1920s England ... and Schwinns and Columbias from the olden days!
