She’s a RINO?? I thought she was an outright democrat. Well either way she wins the “Not as bad as Michele Obama” toaster award. We can all aspire to that high bar ourselves. To the good times!
Can anyone point me to the latest 'Sanity Island Pray for Bush' thread ?

Laura Bush is a RINO, and any conservative who continues to defend her despite knowing of her record is also a RINO.
You must not have got the memo Rabs, there is a powerful and profound reason why allegedly conservative Republican women like Laura Bush, et al, are suddenly coming out in favor of queer marriage, and what it boils down to is that the more homos that tie the knot, establish a family and have to earn a living means that there will be more interior decorators to feed the need of those conservative Republican women, ditto for more hairdressers.
You see Rabs, Laura is just making America safe for homosexual marriage, just like that babblin' Cindy McCain and her half-wit daughter Meghan.
Now if only those McCain b*tches could convince Laura to hold still long enough to put some duct tape over her piehole, we might be getting somewhere:

She did more for the cause of freedom than any First Lady has ever doneShe squandered her chits a couple of weeks ago when she went all pro-choice on Larry King don't you think?
Not good, not good at all...........

Good Morning Lakeshark, and you're absolutely right but I tend to cut Martin Sheen a little bit of slack because he gave a tour de' force (is that right?) performance as 'Greg Stillson' in the original film version of 'The Dead Zone' (and kudos to Christopher Walken too, one of my favorite actors), and if that wasn't enough, I still admire Sheen's role as Michael McCord in 'The California Kid' (1974) a terrific hot rod/murder/corrupt sheriff flick (sheriff played by the late Vic Morrow), so having said all that, I generally dismiss Sheen's political sputterings as his impact in that arena "ain't all that". ;)

Oh starwise, I just LOVE that (post 13) picture! What do you think they’re smiling about?
Here’s a possibility of the thought I imagine they’re communicating to each other in that shot: Laura, “You know Dear, this Satanic Globalist Agenda is intoxicating!” Dubbya,”Yes Dear, and the way we used the pro-lifers to get here was precious.”

Hey there Lakeshark....
I made the decision yesterday to try to avoid any more threads on Laura Bush.
She's a wonderful, classy, caring woman, I love her, and I'm praying for her.
Thanks for understanding why I'm not going to continue the conversation..

Oh I’m praying for her too, I’m praying that Almighty God will smack some sense into her, meanwhile I’m also praying that she’ll just shut the Hell up instead of feeding the pro-homo lobby and the abortion industry with her clap trap.

Her cosmetic surgery is subtle yet noticeable. Sort of like her left-wing politics.

One of the most fun days of my life....
About 20 years ago, Martin Sheen invited homeless people to come to Malibu. They did.....in DROVES! My friend Bob P. lived next door to Martin Sheen at the time.
Now, most of the homeless tended to congregate at a coffee shop right across the street from Pepperdine University.(Dietrich’s) Unfortunately for me and Bob, this coffee shop was also our morning haunt before work, and the homeless took all of the outdoor seating. This would not do!
One morning,Bob suggested we drive a few of them to Martin Sheen’s house. 4 homeless, and 80 bucks later, we dropped them off at Marty’s house in Pt. Dume.
A few weeks later, Bob ran into Sheen in front of his house...
Bob: Hey Marty, what happened to the guys hanging out in front of your house?
Sheen: They were here for hours. They didn’t cause any trouble...just laid down in my front yard. I called the Malibu Sheriff’s, but they took forever for them to get here “
ROTFLMFAO!!!!

When it comes to Laura Bush, and her recent comments, I think of it like this.
Number one, I was not a big fan of her husband. I'll leave it at that, but during his term in office, Laura conducted herself with dignity. I appreciate that. She didn't go out shooting her mouth off supporting Leftist ideology. She probably did go out and support 'No Child Left Behind', and I think it's reasonable to not be very happy about that, but when you think of Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton , it becomes quite clear that Laura was a good First Lady.
Evidently in her new book, and in recent interviews Laura has strayed. I think of it more like the real Laura coming out, but then if you think about it, it was good of her to keep those thoughts to herself while First Lady. I know it will seem like I'm grasping at straws for some of you, but I appreciate her service in light of that.
I know folks get tired of seeing my posts regarding the complete collapse of Conservative ideals at the top of the Republican leadership. Folks, George Bush didn't get it. Laura Bush didn't get it. John MeCain does get it. Cindy MeCain doesn't get it. Bob Dole didn't get it. His wife Elizabeth, while I do admire her to an extent, she was also guilty of not getting it. Michael Steele complains of being harangued in his current position as leader of the RNC. The man just doesn't get it.
Some of have us came to this thread to lament the failure of a person who should know better, to act is if she does. In truth, isn't there a lot more to it than just Laura Bush's private thoughts?
Folks, there is an absolute void of comprehension when it comes to sound governance in Washington, D.C. You can expand that to many of our state capitals as well. California, my home state, is devoid of sound leadership. And folks are rather quick to pile on my state too. Okay, I think that is fair in a constructive way. Just what is different when it comes to our national leadership? Can this nation as a whole be more proud of Washington, D.C. than Sacramento? What in the hell is going on with our leaders? They haven't got a frick clue. We send these idiots to Washington, D.C. and they just melt down.
None of them seem to know we have a document called the U.S. Constitution. None of them seem to know there is a southern border, and that we should be defending it. None of them seem to know that our military needs our financial support. None of them seem to know that Fascism isn't the way to go. None of them seem to know very much of anything when it comes to our founding principles.
Oh sure some of you can point to the no votes on the health care bill if you like, but how many of those casting them were voting now because it wasn't "our bill"? I'd wager many of those no votes had been yes votes when Bush passed Medicare Part D.
There's a revolt building in the ranks of the Republican party. And while I am saddened by Laura Bush's recent revelations, I am more disgusted by what it reflects from across the board, than I am what it reflects about her alone. These people travel in rarefied circles, and haven't a real clue what the hell is going on in our nation.
If you asked them what they thought about Washington now controlling more than 50% of private enterprise in the United States, they'd look at you with a blank stare. "What do you mean, we don't control that much." Well, when you tell companies how much the pay will be, how much the bonuses can be, what types of cars they can sell, and who the CEOs will be, isn't that a management position?
Yeah, Laura, you're not who I'd hoped you were. You're a disappointment. You're also one of the least of my disappointments this decade.
