VISIONS OF CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS DANCING IN THEIR HEADS

Obama has been assiduously courted by activists to do this thing.

As a method of survival, Democrats are itching to alter immigration quotas and permanently change the relationship between themselves, their party, and in particular, with self-hyphenated Jewish-Americans who have been a fund-raising stronghold (in exchange for pols obeisance and Congressional votes to transfer trillions of US tax dollars and mountains of arms to Tel Aviv).

The market collapse, and Madoff’s Ponzi scheme, wiped out the formidable Jewish-Democrat fundraising machine; the damage is large enough that Dems in office are actively searching for alternative campaign funding solutions.

Obama and the Democrats believe it is in their long term interest to break it off---to create an irreversible rift between themselves and the Israeli-centric American Jewish community. Obama's emissaries have already setup the Dem Congress for this strategy.

The only wild card is Rahm Emanuel----one never knows what this cunning, calculated individual will come up with. This guy is notorious for having his cake, and eating it, too.

As someone who lobbies on the Hill on the issue, I disagree with you. There is no doubt that amnesty will pass in the Senate, just as Hagel-Martinez did in 2006. The Dems have too much of a majority this time around.

The battle will be fought in the House, but the question is whether there are enough Reps and blue dog Dems to stop it. And there are some Reps who will vote for amnesty. It is going to be very, very close.

Obama, aided by McCain, will try to confuse the American people by declaring that this is not an amnesty. They have their push polls to show what language is needed to fool and deceive, e.g., get to the back of the line, come out of the shadows, pay a fine, learn English, etc.

Our success in 2007 is going to be very difficult to achieve given the Dems overwhelming control of both houses of Congress. And the Dems see amnesty as the vehicle to make them the permanent majority party. Even without an amnesty, by 2050, one in three residents of this country will be Hispanic.

See my post #62. I am very concerned. And once passed, amnesty is forever. This country is finished.

More than 13 million Americans are out of work now. The black unemployment rate is 13.3 percent. It doesn’t matter to the labor union leaders or the black caucus. They support an amnesty.

“This board is not the place for such talk.”

I’ll see you on here about a year from and and we’ll discuss whether you might feel differently.

Naw, three or four days into the no food today scenario, the deep city folk will succumb to any wish of the master. The country folk are going to be a whole nother matter, and that’s what this is about - numbers.

I don't know. Maybe I'm right and maybe I'm talking out of my ass, I just know that there's a slow burn right now in America everywhere and amnesty would literally make the Tea Parties look like tea parties.

I hope and pray you are right, EEE.
