WASHINGTON -- Cyberspies have penetrated the U.S. electrical grid and left behind software programs that could be used to disrupt the system, according to current and former national-security officials.
The spies came from China, Russia and other countries, these officials said, and were believed to be on a mission to navigate the U.S. electrical system and its controls. The intruders haven't sought to damage the power grid or other key infrastructure, but officials warned they could try during a crisis or war.

A cybersecurity bill introduced today in the Senate would give the federal government extraordinary power over private sector Internet services, applications and software. The Cybersecurity Act of 2009 would, for example, give the President unfettered power to shut down Internet traffic in emergencies or disconnect any critical infrastructure system or network on national security grounds. The bill would grant the Commerce Department the ability to override all privacy laws to access any information about Internet usage in connection with a new role in tracking cybersecurity threats. The bill, introduced by Sens. John Rockefeller and Olympia Snowe, would also give the government unprecedented control over computer software and Internet services, threatening innovation, freedom and privacy. You don’t suppose Obama’s buddies would be LYING about this in order to create an EXCUSE for giving him complete control over our energy companies, AND the INTERNET, do you?
Pretty sure that bill they’re referring to is the same one people discussed here a few days back, but was identified as an attempt to squelch FREE SPEECH and takeover of the Internet (one of the sponsors is “RINO” Olympia Snowe).
Since the response last week to the bill was immediate and vocal, they could’ve realized they needed to re-focus the public on the electrical grid component of the bill, and using something like this particular situation to push it, would allow them to better hide the Internet related provisions of the bill, too...
I hope my ‘conspiracy theory’ is due to my cold/flu, and the meds I’m on right now more than anything else! ROFL Let me know if you have no clue what I’m trying to say when you read this as well, please! LOL

One could argue that even when some Conservatives had serious concerns about some of Bush’s decisions while in office, it is much more likely his INTENTIONS were good — that he did what he thought best.
The Democrats on the other hand — their hypocrisy is absolutely STUNNING! This is nothing more than a big game to them, and so many of the people who support them don’t recognize how truly EVIL these people can be. (And, I say that knowing full well that the Dems will deny that till the cows come home, especially in light of today’s announcement by Deepak Chopra “evil & Satan” are a MYTH, and don’t exist. How can you be something that doesn’t exist? Awful convenient...)
I fully believe they ALREADY control the votes, and have for a while actually. Obama’s election, and the fake ACORN show investigations (all charges now being dropped) should be enough proof really for those who were still “on the fence” regarding whether it was happening or not. Many of the “Third parties” in our country have been screaming about this for DECADES now, and I have to admit I’ve seen distressing problems myself in the past...
Some of the problems I witnessed didn’t even have anything to do with fraud or corruption, but instead problems with possible mechanical malfunctions that would interfere with getting a correct count — and that’s bad enough! (Never mind the fact that one particular voting machine company is OWNED BY VENEZUELA’S COMMUNIST GOVERNMENT/CHAVEZ! Talk about insanity!)
