This week, 1,979 years ago, the most crucial event in history!
You know it saddens me to think of that day. In one week Our Lord went from being the Saviour King of Jerusalem where people were putting their clothes on the ground to cushion His donkey’s footsteps... To a week later and He was forced to walk these same streets; tortured, beaten, carrying an incredible heavy load meant for His death, and derided by those same citizens.
People are stupid, vapid, and extremely fickle. Nothing much has changed.
Amen! The war was won - but with skirmishes and insurgents still biting at the heel. Not unlike a President’s banner. Interesting, eh?
