There is no way a community organizer, with an affirmative action law degree from Harvard, knows economics, history, civics or anything else of how the world works. He has his idealism but no clue what that means or what will happen if he accomplishes what he thinks he wants to do.

Morgan, the most disturbing thing is not that he doesn't know these things, it's that he doesn't consider them important.

How could they not know there is an Office of Protocol in the State Department? Hillary knows that, even if Obama didn't.

The answer is that they didn't bother to check because it didn't seem important to them.

A humble person would know that he isn't up to snuff and would be getting advice. Obama thinks he knows it all (examples include GM, budget, stimulus, etc.) and will not consider any alternatives.
