North Korea has activated radar for its planned launch of what the country claims as a communications satellite, signaling that the launch is imminent, South Korea's Yonhap news agency said Sunday, quoting an unnamed South Korean source.
Yonhap also said South Korea's presidential office convened a National Security Council meeting in a sign confirming the imminent launch. The presidential office earlier said the NSC will be convened only after an actual launch.
North Korea has announced that it would launch a satellite sometime between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. from Saturday to Wednesday.

Oh yes, they did it allright. All Japanese TVs are in urgent broadcast mode. PAC 3 missiles were NOT used. First stage booster already crashed down in the sea of Japan, second state of booster has passed over Japan and has landed in the Pacific. Not yet know if this is really a satellite or not. Fragments did NOT come down on Japan.

North Korea launched its rocket at 11:30, booster 1 touch down at 11:37 booster 2 touch down at 11:43 to the east of Japan. NHK says the North Korea rocket now moving over the Pacific Ocean.
Thai TV reports the rocket has been fired per S Korea.

We are well into the news of the missile being launchd as a fact here. TV has been reporting for nearly 20 inutes. 11:37 came down into Sea of Japan (first stage) off coast of Akita

Yes, both stages went into the seas. First stage into Sea of Japan, second stage into Pacific Ocean. Looks like NORTH KOREA SCREWED UP, the distance it went into the Pacific Ocean was only 1/2 the estimated distanced they could do.

Japanese TV showing live TV of PAC 3 batteries, just sitting there, unused. They did not fire
them. Prime Minister addressed nation 10 minutes ago for about 2 1 minutes. PISSED OFF stern, three sentence statement then stormed away from the TV mikes and cameras.

Stages came down only. NO MISSILE FRAGMENTS HAVE LANDED ON JAPAN (as of reports right now). First stage into Sea of Japn as expected. DPRK launched within the hour. Announcement came in 20 minutes ago. No fragments reported yet on Japanese soil. Second stage came down in Pacific Ocean. THIS IS WHERE THEY MAY HAVE SCREWED UP. ANALYSIS IS THEY CAME UP MUCH SHORTER IN THEIR LAUNCH DISTANCE on the second stage, i.e. it came down only 1/2 out in to the Pacific as estimated originally by analysts.
It was not a declaration of War, but man was he pissed.
Okay, got it...now...where is the payload/warhead????
