STRASBOURGH, France - Wheeling and dealing in politics is universal.
That's one of the lessons President Barack Obama says he took away from his first NATO summit.
--snip--
"It was also interesting to see that political interaction in Europe is not that different from the United States Senate," said Obama, a former senator. "There's a lot of I don't know what the term is in Austrian wheeling and dealing, and, you know, people are pursuing their interests, and everybody has their own particular issues and their own particular politics."

"There's a lot of I don't know what the term is in Austrian wheeling and dealing, and, you know, people are pursuing their interests, and everybody has their own particular issues and their own particular politics." A HUGE Gaffe by Obama.
Of course, the MSM idiots would NEVER point it out as that might infer that the "O" isn't bright, lacks international etiquette or knows nothing about the world!
Seemingly unknown to Obama -- Austria speaks GERMAN not "Austrian!"
One can only imagine how the MSM and everyone else, including the GOP "elite" would portray "W," had he committed such a blunder.

"There's a lot of I don't know what the term is in Austrian wheeling and dealing, and, you know, people are pursuing their interests, and everybody has their own particular issues and their own particular politics." The Kenyan Clown is a pig-ignorant yokel.
Over and above the blatant ignorance, this ineloquent sentence sounds more like one from an eager but wet-behind-the-ears high school student rather than a president with a Harvard law degree. (I also would have expected a president with a Harvard law degree to do a better job of not mixing the singular "everybody" with a plural possessive "their" when publicly speaking. While in an informal setting it's not remarkable, in a more formal environ it comes across as unthoughtful at best.)

Does he think that politics outside of the USA involves single party governments wherein everyone pursues the same ideals and goals? (Maybe that is the way it exists in his mind; that there is only my way and no other??)Well, he was elected President of the World after all.

Obama sounds more like Gomer Pyle every day. Next thing you know he will express surprise that Europeans have electricity and indoor plumbing.

"There's a lot of - I don't know what the term is in Austrian - wheeling and dealing..." The gaffes never stop. Now there is an Austrian language (as opposed to Austrian dialects of German). LOL!

OMG, how naive is this neophyte Daley machine pol? Is he serious? Did we elect a complete buffoon? This sort of thing is why it's so galling to listen to that intellectually patronizing attitude out of leftists. It's like being lectured by the slowest kid in class, who's utterly unaware that everyone else is way ahead of him.

“Excellent context to put Obama’s comments about speaking Austrian in Austria. “
IF GWB had said something this boneheaded, it would have been repeated 24/7 on the media for a year as proof that he was a moron.
