Sadly, I have this same fear. First realized after growing an interest in Poe's works while in grade school.

I am being cremated as a result (even though I am SURE people are no longer buried alive). Still, I'd rather be burned alive real quick, than die of fright in the grave.

My mom knew about one of those folks buried alive. She learned of it when she was a child.
