I understand some people lived in terror of being buried alive, it was such a real possibility Sadly, I have this same fear. First realized after growing an interest in Poe's works while in grade school.
I am being cremated as a result (even though I am SURE people are no longer buried alive). Still, I'd rather be burned alive real quick, than die of fright in the grave.
