nanny state/health nazi rebuttal ping
Don’t get me started on this topic............blood pressure rising.......head ready to explode......blood shooting out of eyes..........
It's a credit to him that his work is talked about in Reason and posted here on Free Republic.
Stop, you’re making me hungry!
Mothers stopped homemaking and got careers = fat people.
BINGO, we have a winner!
They’re illegally importing their fat selves. We hear how downtrodden the illegals are, hiding in the shadows, but I’m surrounded by them in Texas and a good portion of them are enormous. Things might have been bad back home, but it didn’t involve missing any meals.
Some rules are very simple:
1) Don’t drown perfectly good vegetables in high-fat salad dressing, butter, mayonnaise, etc.
2) If it’s greasy and/or deep-fried it is fattening.
3) If it’s really creamy and/or covered in cheese it is probably fattening.
It’s amazing how many times people go “I only ate a salad” but come to find out the salad had half a cup of ranch dressing, shredded cheese, bacon bits, avocado, and a tiny little bit of lettuce screaming for mercy at the bottom of the pile. Instead of a salad like this, just have the cheeseburger and fries, LOL.
Green beans sauteed in olive oil are good. Other vegetables like asparagus(Gag) need all the help they can get.
Oooops! That could hurt their feelings if they were a target! Oh forgot, this type of activity has been banned!
Food is everywhere; life is hard; people eat.
Hmmm you know, I was a stay at home Mom and we rarely ate out when the kids were growing up. Mine were mostly thin—but some of that was genetics. On the other hand, they did learn pretty good eating habits.
YUP!~
Cut down on the carbs and get more exercise. That’s all it takes.
No kidding. I’m on weight watchers and I am sometimes amazed at the points in a salad (eaten out). I much prefer to make salads at home, since I can control the ingredients much more easily.
Olive oil, unfortunately is just as fattening as Crisco. It may be better for you, but caloriewise, it’s no better.
“Back in our day, we didn’t have childhood obesity...”
“Back in our day, kids played. Climbed trees, ran through the woods, time to come home was when the sun went down...”
Now:
“Why was your child out of your view for five minutes? You will lose your child to foster care for neglect”
No one can see the correlation? Parents HAVE to do things around the house, they can’t sit and watch kids play the calories away all afternoon. And the absence of recess in schools on top of that?
And then people sit around and moan about how kids are fat.
Oh my goodness, we can’t have them play dodge ball or any kind of ball, you’re right, if one of them got hurt how would the parents ever live with themselves, they’d sue the school, they’d sue the people who made the uniforms, they’d sue the people who make the balls and nets and bats, etc. plus they’d sue the makers of any snacks that were given out to the kids.....no no no we can’t have any of that, it’s better the kids do nothing but play video games where they’ll be safe,,,,,,,,obese but safe..........
