I understand there is a new anti-freeper site started by disgruntled former and present Mormon FReepers and it is their intention of bankrupting FR during the coming Freepathon by withholding their donations and disrupting our activities. Well, all I can say is, if they feel that badly against FR, by all means they should withhold their donations and drop out of FR. But it they attempt to disrupt our operations I will guarantee they will no longer be members of FR. If that is their wish, so be it.
I'm not going to try to defend FR from their claims of religious persecution, but I will say that Mormons have and always have had free reign to post their threads on FR just as all other religious groups have enjoyed. Free Republic defends the right to freedom of religion and has always welcomed religious discussion and always will. And Mormons have always been welcome here. I have absolutely nothing against Mormons.
If you are one who has left or is leaving, I wish you well, but disruption of FR is not welcome and will not be tolerated.
And this is not the first time such activity has been attempted by groups of disgruntled former FReepers. Good luck with that. There is always some group that feels FR should be bent to their way of thinking and end up saying my way or the highway. Well, I don't know about you, but I'm not changing so I guess it's the highway. Is it Feb 8 yet?
God bless.

She once had posted on her homepage that she is a minister. Whatever that means.
Defending Christ is not for the faint of heart. The Devil pulls no punches, nor did our Savior. Turn the other cheek was for disagreements with our brothers not those who seek to destroy or corrupt the Body of Christ.
If some find it distasteful, I can understand, the battle for souls is a war, one that has been ongoing since Adam ate of the Tree of Knowledge...
What bothers me is that some do not understand what is really at stake here, and indeed in the desire to be understanding and tolerant they go too far in the other extreme, past simply being tolerant of individuals, which is proper and right, into being tolerant of the Devil’s work itself, of other ways that are not of the Lord. In turn they look on us in the trenches as being something unchristian when indeed we are the very ones following closest to what is taught by Paul and others. Indeed instead of looking down on us they should be looking up to see that Christ has enemies and they seek to destroy everything that is good and proper and true.
Misguided individuals need to be loved, misguided religious movements serving the will of the Evil One exposed and countered at every turn.
Excellent post!
Yes!
***Maynard Dixon Country***
Was this Dixon the western artist around the turn of the 19th century? Excellent artist!
I really enjoy reading your posts of your “testimony”. It’s good to see.
We're certainly thinking alike. My response to the lecture was to take my LDS friend to Galatians 1. The conversation ended shortly after that but by the look on his face, it was clear that Paul's cursing of those who brought a different gospel from an "angel of heaven" rattled him. Galatians 1:8 strikes right at the heart of the foundations of Mormonism by cursing the exact situation that gave rise to the "First Vision."
That conversation took place about 15 years ago and I've long since lost connection with this Mormon but I have always thought that the Holy Spirit planted a seed there that would bear fruit later.
Everybody take a deep breath, back away from the keyboard and take a 48 hour break. Lock yourselves in your room, go to church or take a walk if it isn't raining or snowing and PRAY.
Jim, if you have ANY control over this site — give it a rest for the love of God.
figures and your words fall short with you first post to me on this I gave you the benifit of the doubt but go just slither way phoney...
Not for long, I imagine. ;)
Yep this thread seems to be driven by the heart of the contenious towards the LDS nothing more!
enjoy your pit of hell!
:)
They can't defend their theology because it is inconsistant with Christian thought and is no theology whatsover.
In fact, I have an idea that there are no accepted Mormon theologians given recognizence anywhere in Christian theological realms unless you know of some? I would be happy to read them if there are any.
One other verse that proves that Christ's church was never lost and "re-found" is Psalm 102:12
But thou, O LORD, shalt endure for ever; and thy remembrance unto all generations
resty, you know Mormons don't believe in a pit of hell.
Are you sayin' you've given up Mormonism? Good for you!
***In fact, if the church that you belong to, teaches that Jesus is a sinner,***
Back about 1974,in Farmington NM, the downtown ALLAN theater had a movie about Billy Graham preaching.
My friend challenged a Mormon co-worker to go see it, and he did.
He came back telling us that Billy Graham said Jesus was a sinner!
My friend went to the movie and found the Mormon had misrepresented what Graham had said...”He was made SIN for us.”
Oh, Wow gunner...now you have been added to resty's "vipers" list. That is truly a commendation!
LOL....general miscommunication between the two groups. It comes from them absconding with our vocabulary.
Did your ox get gored?
ROTFL....you are SO funny!
