Not bad for a work day, for once.
(Aside from the fact that they screwed up my paycheck)
;0(
The way I see it, if nobody writes off a car or leaves the track in an ambulance, it’s a great weekend. It’s supposed to be a warm one too, but Sonoma is almost always cold in the morning (it gets fog rolling in off the ocean during the night, which is one of the things that makes it such a good wine-producing region). I’ll start the day wearing a sweatshirt under my jacket and be down to a T-shirt by lunchtime.
That said, three years ago we had really heavy rain for the season opener (it was also at Sears Point). From Turn 1, we had water flowing down the track counter-course from Turn 2. We ended up taking lunch early that day to wait for the rain to let up; sending Formula Fords out in a torrential rain is never a good idea because they really hurt for traction in the wet even with rain tires and the cockpit resembles a bathtub by the end of a session (perhaps THIS is the reason car guys colloquially refer to a car’s chassis as a “tub”).

Good evening Sis!
Glad to see you!
I like books on cd...perfect for listening to while surfing the net or doing chores & better yet in the car.
My ‘nature’ is ‘matured’....LOL
Great tunes tonight...((:O)
Good to see you, too!
I might have to check out “A Man, A Can, A Plan”, although I actually DO know my way around the kitchen. :)
I’m already in the process of designing a small travel trailer that I can pull behind the Miata. I still need the funds to build it, though. It’s definitley something I would use, since I do about 12-15 weekends of flagging every year.
You oughtta see some of the motorhomes some of my fellow race volunteers bring to the track!
Leak is not fixed yet.
My only day off until next Friday is Monday.
I’ll have to see if I can get one in on that day.
Anyway, it’s not doing any more damage to the ceiling in the basement...
There is a great Texas Story telling coming up soon.
I enjoy these things
No worries about the storm, it will be mostly melted by Monday and if the weather guessers hold up to the usual results the 1/2” of snow that we really get will be melted by Saturday Night :-)
Regards

New release from the Norwegian Metal outfit led by the much-feared and highly respected Satyr. Largely written in a remote cabin deep in the Norwegian woods by Satyr in collaboration with his old friend Snorre Ruch (of Thornsl), it features eight of the heaviest songs in Satyricon's history. From the unstoppable urgency that marks 'Black Crow On A Tombstone' to the epic frenzy of 'Die By My Hand' and the bleak nihilism of 'Den Siste' - each title demands the utmost sonic intensity. |
