WASHINGTON (AFP) Republican Senator John McCain called Thursday for deploying more US National Guard troops to the southern US border to contain violence spilling over from Mexico's fight with drug cartels.
"I support sending National Guard troops to assist with securing our southern border and stemming the flow of violence spilling over into the United States," the Arizona lawmaker said in a statement.
McCain cited requests by Arizona Governor Jan Brewer and Texas Governor Rick Perry for help from Washington amid a "continued escalation of violence" as a result of Mexico's drug war.

Last time they sent the NG to the border it was with unloaded weapons. I don’t think they even had access to ammunition. We sure don’t need any more stupidity like that, it’s a magnet for disaster.

He still wants amnesty for those who are here and they are flooding over the border like cock roaches...albeit under the guise of "protection".

so that the illegals (soon to be called refugees) can just slide playfully into the U.S.

There sure is a thundering herd of politicians that want to send more and more to the border- to check southbound for weapons and $$$- they haven’t had a care about smugglers of humans, drugs, and no one knows what else flowing this way. Not even a care when the Mexican army has crossed over or Border Patrol is shot at or assulted. They all jump through hoops when Mexico wants help- though they haven’t worried about our citizens being in danger from their border politics.

The dynamic is in place for McCain to do the right thing concerning amnesty, this time around.
It’ll be interesting to see if he comes all the way over.
