Some I know deny, some don't. One guy says flat out that a little socialism is good. The trouble is, that a little socialism is never little nor stays at "a little socialism".
Socialism in our country is like weeds in the garden, always creeping forward, taking more and more until that formerly fine garden that could once feed and support an entire family with plenty of extra to give to friends and neighbors, is nothing but weeds.

“A little socialism” never stays little, nor does it stay benevolent. It simply can’t.

I was in my doctor’s office yesterday. Every dog-eared Newsweak cover had The Kenyan on the cover except one (radical islam is here to stay, learn to live with it).

Good analogy! You nailed it in a simple illustration.
I also might add, Socialism is when you own the land, till the soil, plant the ground, weed it, water it, pay all the costs associated with growing a crop, only to have total strangers wait until the crop is ready for harvest, then come and help themselves to it without even a thank you. Because they believe you owe it to them.
