RINO alert ping : This is why Spector is suddenly against card-check, Toomey! . Remember that GWB helped Spector defeat Toomey in 2004.

His hope is to pretend he holds some conservative views just long enough to get reelected. If he manages to pull it off, he'll revert to form later.

Exactly - just like he did in 2004.

Not going to work this time, as he doesn't have Bush and Santorum around to carry his carcass across the finish line.

Looks like Arlein is feeling the heat, maybe this is why he no longer supports card check.

He will act like a conservative to get re-elected, then screw conservatives.

DUMP the bum.

Maybe Obama will campaign for him this time.

Can Specter win? Polls show he’s vulnerable to losing too in the General election. He’s ticked off too many people on both sides this time.

Maybe being around 30 years is just too much. Same with Dodd. He has 6 years in the House before the Senate so he has been in federal office over 34 years here. Sometimes these folks don’t realize they have overstayed the welcome.

Toomey will of course be labeled as a right wing extremist etc. I suspect he will start out as an underdog but who knows. Senate elections can produce many surprises. If O’s approval rating is quite low 18 months from now, Toomey could win.

I don’t know anything about Penn. politics. Will the Democrat be better or worse than Spectre or about the same.

I live in Northampton County, and I’m constantly surprised at the older people who voted for Obama. People around here are brainwashed, and I wonder if Toomey could get elected anymore.

Can Toomey win statewide? I would HATE to see Rep. “Baghdad Murphy” become a senator.

Is there a chart somewhere here on Free Republic of EVERY INCUMBENT up for reelection, be it Democrat or Republican? We need to get people to run against these traitors and do it quick. Booting out these people is much better than tea parties. we need to show them that if they do things we don’t like, there will be consequences..it’s not like the old days.

Specter will lie, cheat and steal to be re-elected. And then he will rejoin the democrat party.
