One of the few times I have been ashamed of my country.
As we chanted last Sunday:
Save, O Lord, save Your people and bless Your inheritance; grant victory to the faithful over the barbarians. And protect Your commonwealth, by the power of Your Cross!
Note the fourth picture from the bottom in the article! :)
I'll never forget
I am honored to know you, Alex in Belgrade. I have posted your thoughts “Serbia Remembers” on this 10th anniversary of the NATO bombing of Serbia here in America along with the photos of today’s commemorations. To be a Serbian-American or American Serb such as I am, on such a day, is a painful thing. I love this country, the U.S.A. But I am not blind to her flawed judgments. On behalf of the leaders of my homeland, America, I apologize for our actions against the Serbian lands in the former Yugoslavia, beginning with Krajina in Croatia, through the war in Bosnia, and on through the Kosovo tragedy. I hope that one day, our two nations and peoples can come to terms with the grievous rupture of our once grand and solid alliance and that the rupture is healed. My thoughts are with you today. May God be with the Serbs always.

Clinton lied, our WWII friends and allies died.
78 days that will live in infamy...
On April 4, 1999, I attended an anti-NATO demonstration held in front of the White House to protst Clinton's barbaric acts against the Serbian epople. There were thousands there representing Orthodox and non-Orthodox Christians alike. As an American of Greek descent, I was proud to see the Greek flag held high with its glorious blue and white stripes and its white Cross brilliantly flying alongside the Serbian colors. That day in front of the White House Greeks chanted, "Ellas, Serbia, Orthodoxia!"
And to that I say, "Zivela Srbija! Zivela Kosvo! Zito Ellas!"
You have my sympathy. I have no Serbian ancestry, but have felt great guilt from the beginning of this tragedy.
I felt in the beginning this was a “Slick Willie” Wag-the-Dog thing, and felt great remorse. But after Kosovo, others are to blame and I still do not understand it.
The only explanation I have heard that sounds plausible, it the idea that the “Globalists” knew that Serbia would never accept their goal of a Global Government, they were and are Nationalist. For that I have great sympathy with the Serbs. I have read enough about their history to understand how treacherous their “neighbors” are.
I have know a few Americans who were of Serbian ancestry, and I admired all of them.
We will also remember. Vjecnaja Pamjat
The Serbs never forget their Greek brothers.
Thank you, Texas Fossil.
You know, after posting this "tribute" this evening, I cried for the first time today.
I still can't believe it.
The Serbs did not deserve this.

THE ORTHODOX WARRIORS CREED Before God I swear this creed. I am a minister of death praying for war. I am the defender of my faith. I am the master of my enemy. I am the savior of my folk. So be it, until victory is mine and there is no more enemy. Elefteria i thanatos - Sloboda ili smrt
Indeed. I love the amblem (Serbian eagle with Greek Shield).
PS The correct wording should be Grchka Dobrovoliachka Garda (Greek Volunteer Guard).
Instead the U.S. deliberately sided with Islamic Terrorists on the European Continent, in an unprecedented effort at appeasing islamic expansion there..
In 1999,the Christan Serbs were the early warning system to what lay in store for the West/USA in the war against Islamic Terror. But the West/USA chose to align itself with Islamic Terror groups like the KLA and bomb the Serbs in what amounted to a combined 5th Crusade against Christians, and emboldening Jihadists world wide.
The West/USA was blind-sided and sent a Thank You Card postmarked 9/11/2001 sent via air mail delivery, ironically from followers of the" religion of peace" it sought to appease.
Given the aftermath, and continuing global war on islamic terror, the jihad is far from over, and the time for continued vigilance should be the mandate of all free nations.
