Its a rainbow. So what? I’m not sure when a color spectrum necessarily became a gay statement ... but I see no problem with this.

My daughter draws rainbows all over the place — do you think she might be a GLAAD operative?

Just because you are naive about the rainbow being the symbol of gay pride, doesn't mean you have to get negative.

Little anecodate about how a perfectly innocuous term can be hijacked by the Gay lobby:

Last fall, my neighbor was all upset about the "Iris Festival" that was going to be held in our small town here on the Oregon Coast. I was puzzled, and asked why the protest? We love to go to the annual Tulip Festival in Mt. Vernon, Washington - absolutely beautiful fields of tulips stretching nearly as far as you can see.

My neighbor then informed me that Iris is the goddess of the rainbow - and that the festival was a gay pride event. There was quite a controvery in town about it, but naturally, it did take place, and now we're told it's going to be an annual event.

Our little town was designated as "gay-friendly" a few years ago by The Oregonian. Since then, there's been a steady influx of openly gay people living here. One of our city councilmen (who is most likely our next mayor)is openly gay and lives with his partner. They both wear wedding rings...
