Democrat Anger At Obama Overkill [An Emperor Without Clothes]

Democrat anger at Obama overkill Concern is mounting at the president’s tactics The AIG saga has prompted some senior Democrats to distance themselves from Obama

Tony Allen-Mills

WHEN the White House announced last week that President Barack Obama will be returning to the nation’s television screens on Tuesday for a prime-time press conference that will postpone the latest episode of American Idol - the talent show watched by 25m viewers - fans of the programme were quick to respond.

“Stop, please stop, Mr O, we can’t take much more,” one angry viewer wrote on an Idol-related website. “Not again!” complained another. “It’s the same speech he’s been giving for the past year.”

There were dark mutterings that by commandeering evening programming only a few days after he appeared on Jay Leno’s popular late-night chat show, Obama was “just like Fidel Castro [of Cuba] and Hugo Chavez [of Venezuela] - always on camera, always giving speeches and lecturing”.

The barbed response to the prospect of yet another mass-media dose of Obama’s economic prescriptions underlined the dangers the president is facing as he struggles to sell his recovery efforts to a country seething with anger and anxiety over the costs, effectiveness and potential abuse of the government’s trillion-dollar bailout programme.

Why do we have to read the English papers to know that our Emperor is naked? Why can’t our newspapers cover this story?

Democrats are soooo good at throwing money at every problem. Why is Barney Frank still in charge of the House Banking committee? Where is the Republican outrage over this crook’s continuance in a position he SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIRED FROM YEARS AGO?

Why is Fox carrying the presser? The other nets are doing so. surely they can cite that fact for not spoling the ratings of their top show?

Why in the world does FOX feel it necessary to let this egomaniac bump its most popular show? The alphabet networks refused to show Pres. Bush’s speeches and pressers on several occasions when they decided he wasn’t “newsworthy”.

BO will have nothing but White House parties and TV appearances going on by this summer, while the country goes under.

Why can’t our newspapers cover this story?

They're too busy going out of business.

If O keeps pushing his face onto prime time, the networks will sooner or later stop airing him. Obviously we haven't reached that point yet.

O was on Leno, on 60 Minutes tonight, and will pre-empt American Idol. How much air time does he need? Fairness Doctrine!

They put this guy in place without vetting him and shielding him off with favorable news and reporting.
These people are corrupted and will not step forward with unbiased news.

They’re afraid if they say anything against The One they’ll be called racists.

And they’re right... they would be. It wouldn’t be TRUE, of course, but truth means nothing to race-mongers, Democrats, and the general pond-scum that infest Washington these days.

Obama is jealous of Castro, Chavez and the Dear One in North Korea. All the TV channels belong to him!
