SNIPPET: “As of Saturday night 40-year-old Officer John Hege was in critical condition. Hege is a 10-year veteran.

A fifth officer was grazed by a bullet and released from the hospital.

The suspect, who was killed in the exchange, has been identified as Lovelle Mixon. According to authorities the 27-year-old has an extensive criminal history. In fact, he was out on parole on an assault with a deadly weapons charge.”
