Civilians in the DOD may have been responsible for this. However, believe it or not, there are folks in the military who are scumbag socialists. There are people who hold very high ranks that are scumbag socialists.
Do I even need to trot out Wesley Clark and Powell as examples of this? Believe me, they were not the only ones.
The military, as an organization, is not immune to the same illness that has consumed the federal and most state governments. At some point, the marxists in government will shape the military in their own image.
The point of this is, those of you who believe we have “forever” to pull the pin, are negligently wrong in that opinion. We do NOT have a long time, we only have until enough of the command and control positions are filled with men like wesley clark or worse... After that point, any chance of a relatively bloodless and peaceful split will be gone.
OUR job right now is to convince those still beating the horses corpse to stop and walk away. There are still A LOT of good people that don’t yet fully comprehend the situation as it exists. There are a lot of people who took oaths that have not yet realized that they are derelict of that duty.

Not all our military members are clear thinkers. Just go to the nearest VA hospital and see all the Obama supporters. Sad.
