Tim Geithner admitted he asked Sen Chris Dodd (D-Conn) to protect AIG bonuses in the bailout bill. Geithner is in a finger-pointing match with Dodd "....we just expressed concern about a legal challenge," he told CNN. But Geithner was silent when Dodd insisted Treasury forced him to include the AIG exemption, and was silent when Obama's people told news outlets that Dodd's account (which Dodd changed from the previous day), was not true. Geithner also appeared to back away from Obamas' assertion that he first learned of the bonuses last week..... House Republicans moved to force Geithner to provide an accounting of all communications re AIG. Dodd said he remained confident in Geithner's performance. "I do, and the president does, and that's what's key," Dodd said.

It doesn’t matter if the Dems are blaming each other and the NY Post is reporting it.
The MSM will not report it to the mass of middle America. Middle America doesn’t know. Middle America doesn’t care. Middle America believes the financial problems are Bush’s fault because the MSM tells them so.
This will not end until the MSM is toppled.

How much did Goldman Sachs pay out in bonuses?
You are absolutely right and a great many are beginning to notice their hypocrisy!
Separated at birth?
YIKES!!! Dodd is worse than I thought.......he WILL be re-elected BECAUSE he’s so corrupt!!
The most widespread and familiar of the American plovers, the Killdeer is a common bird in farmyards, fields, and parking lots. Although many species of birds pretend to have a broken wing to lure predators from their nest, the Killdeer is the one most commonly seen performing this distraction display.
Yep, the Killdeer administration!!!
LOL! Timmy the TAX CHEAT looks just like Eddie Haskell! “My you look lovely today, Mr. Obama”.
Geez! A person would have to be dead to miss it all. I've never seen such a corrupt and incompetent administration in my life.
NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Goldman Sachs said it would hold a conference call with reporters on Friday to, "answer questions from journalists, and clarify certain misperceptions in the press regarding Goldman Sachs' trading relationship with American International Group." Members of the public can listen to the call via webcast, the company said in a press release.
Lawmakers and pundits have been questioning the Goldman connection.

Timmy the TAX CHEAT: My you look lovely today, Mr. Obama. And how is your charming wife, and your adorable children?”
LOL.
Can we start a countdown clock for Geithner yet? He never should have been there in the first place but this takes the cake. And Dodd has to be done next year.

Our country is infected with Goldman-Sachs-ites---they're like a STD that takes over the life of the infected. Read on.
GOLDMAN-SACHS-A-THON
After the market meltdown, many Goldman Sachs execs fled to the "safety" of the Federal Reserve and Dept of US Treasury........and are sucking up tax dollars as we type.
Tax cheat (and US Treasury Secy) Tim Geithner hired a Goldman Sachs lobbyist as his COS. ...even though Obama said his admin is off-limits to lobbyists.
Ex- Goldman Sachs head, Hank Paulson as Tresury Secy, stationed his G/S right hand man---Neel Kaskari---- to (cough) oversee $350B TARP payouts. We still do not know in which G/S rathole these two secreted the first $350B.
Paulson threatened US Senators with Martial Law if they did not vote him the bailout billions.
This depraved G/S Pig---Paulson---demanded the TARP be exempt from judicial, legislative, and regulatory review. $350B disappeared without a trace---and NO significant effect on the economy.
========================================
US Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Oklahoma) said that Congress was not told the truth about the $700 billion bailout. "The American people don't know how much money Treasury Secy Henry Paulson has given away to anyone. IT COULD BE TO HIS FRIENDS. We don't know. There is no way of knowing.''
GOLDMAN SACHS SCREWS US AGAIN Secy Pavelson told Congress bailout billions would be used for one purpose then the foxy, wily Pavelson changes horses in midstream and decides to use the billions for something else.
Typical G/S chicanery.
The heck with Congress enacting the bailout law for one use. Pavelson personally decides he and the G/S guys will use it for "something else."
As US citizens line up at soup kitchens and sell apples on street corners, Pavelson, Kashkari, and the G/S frat boys are cashing in bigtime......numbered offshore bank accounts, "parking" bailout billions at Goldman Sachs and other Wall Street entities; wire-transfers going 24/7.
The late economist John Kenneth Galbraith blamed Goldman Sachs policies for causing the Great Depression of '29. In his book, The Great Crash, 1929, Galbraith, a key figure in JFK's admin, an entire chapter titled In Goldman, Sachs, We Trust, details the large-scale corporate thimblerigging that Goldman and other Wall Streeters practiced in the 1920s.
G/S frat boys at the highest levels of govt are now pulling the levers of power. Watching them operate, we know Goldman types promote their own interests relentlessly...........the rest of us be damned.
G/S insiders are pocketing as fast as they can----making motions to bail out the crooks who contributed to the economy's meltdown (that is part of their exercise in greed).
The have quit drinking the Kool Aid they are eating it right out of the package.
Tuesday was a fun day. In the morning, I spent close to 3 hours semi upside down in a dental chair having the pins removed from an old crown that broke off and also cracked a tooth when I bit down on the broken crown.
Then in the afternoon I had my annual appointment with our CPA and going over our tax data.
One good thing that came out of the later. Our CPA said that one of their blogs had the reality that you have posted as this thread.
He said only Democrats in the Senate and Obama’s rat pack would dare try to bs America about these bonuses.
