Your uber-lib friend must be soooo proud of herself. I'll bet she wears that experience on here sleeve everyday to reminder how much better she is than all of us! I know the type very well.

Oh yes, she broadcasted it loudly and quite often and at one point I worried she would dislocate her arm patting herself on the back. While initially she was slight off-put by the fella sipping a cold lemonade while the do-gooders worked their butts off, she still fondly recalls her volunteer work with that cute liberal mixture of pomposity, self importance and "can you even believe how much better I am that you?!"

Of course, I don't trumpet my own good deeds, and since I'm a Repub, all my lib friends think I'm a stingy Rush worshipper who's misguided or just plain moronic.
