Why don’t democrats mention the Constitution or the Founders?

Have you noticed and absence of phrases like “as the Founders wrote” or “as we’re directed by the Constitution” from liberal democrats. Hmmmm, I wonder why? Could it be that they no longer recognize the Constitution as authoritative? Is it possible they’ve strayed so far from the principles of the Republic that they no longer submit themselves to the authority of the Founders writings? I think so. Their silence is deafening.

We’re living in surreal times, times where the “living” constitution has supplanted the real Constitution and it’s going to take some heavy lifting to get back on course, if that’s even possible. The 9th and 10th Amendments have been all but obliterated.

What can you do?

1. READ the Constitution. Learn it, know it. 2. READ the Declaration of Independence. Learn why the Founders declared independence from ole’ King George. 3. Read the 5000 year leap.

Be prepared to stand for what the Founders intended us to be, a small centralized government the protected our liberties, life and the pursuit of happiness. It’s getting very close to a time where people are going to have had enough and you’re already beginning to see signs of the at the tea parties across the country. This movement is just at it’s very beginning stages, much more will come.

Become good citizens again, learn what the Founders understood to be our unalienable rights from our Creator, not privileges granted by a government.

Democrats?? It's absent from the Pubbies also. The Dems have changed to meaning to words also. Spending is now "investing", indoctrination is now "education". There are more but I'm getting tired and ready for sleep.

For the same reason that they don’t mention freedom, liberty, or personal responsibility.

Because they hate both. Everything the founding fathers said goes against their agenda. The Constitution is just an old piece of paper that they would love to burn and rewrite. Most democrats don’t have on shred of patriotism or love of country, NONE.

lol

You're right.

Worse yet, most of them really sort of reject many of the basic ideas in the Constitution. They have to do all sorts of legal gymnastics to get their gun control, abortions on demand, etc. fit into the picture with that archaic and silly document.

That's why liberals talk of a "living document" and the "framers" (Not to be confused with our founding fathers)........ They really do attack the basic underpinnings of the Constitution because in their secular, collective, egalitarian, and highly centralized world where a state has a monopoly on the use of force, this document represents an obstacle, unless of course you can completely redefine what it all means.

When did you last hear people say “home of the free, land of the brave”

Or, “It’s a free country isn’t it?!”

or “ever heard of freedome of speech?”

No, you don’t hear that in your daily lives, because people know better, or don’t believe it anymore.

What are you talking about, Democrats mentions them all the time. The Constitution is an outdated document and the founders were a bunch of slave-owning racists.

What’s the Bill of Rights?

Is it anything like a bill of sale?

To Obama types, the Constitution is an inconvenience at best except when it can be twisted to their advantage. Many also truly view it as an artifact of slavery. That canard has influenced a LOT of people, more than many realize. The idea that Constitutional America has some sort of original sin-type basic, evil flaw that must be repented of and paid for is a truism on the left. This thinkng creeps out in Obama's speech whenever he's not careful.

From my childhood in the 50s, I remember when Soviet Communists used to criticize our Constitution because it did not guarantee the 'right' to food, shelter, clothes, a job, education, and medical care (of course the Soviet constitution 'guaranteed' all kinds of things). Did not Obama say much the same thing about our Constitution fairly recently? He and his buddies are absolutely steeped in this point of view. They believe deeply that 'Amerikka' needs fixing, and lots of it, and they intend to do just that. Obama is busy 'fixing' things, already. This view of their country influences everything for them.

Another suggestion: Keep a pocket-sized copy of the Constitution handy by your desktop computer so that you can instantly rebut any fallacious “constitutional” argument that a ‘Rat may try to make.
