"Stacy Barker told detectives that she was at Lancaster City Park on Wednesday sometime after 5 p.m. placing her daughter in a car seat and was knocked unconscious after hitting her head on the steering wheel.

She told detectives that she awoke about 10:30 p.m., slumped over in the seat of her car at a Palmdale park-and-ride, and discovered Emma was missing. The mother's brother called authorities, and deputies were dispatched to the Avenue S Park-n-Ride.

Wait a minute. You have to take the 14 to the 5 from Palmdale/Lancaster to get to Santa Clarita/Mission Hills which is ~ 30 miles south over mountains doing 70+. Why would somebody dump a body right there along a 10-lane FWY? Why not go north ~30 miles near Mojave to dump a body in the desert instead of going south into a busy area to dump it? And dodge trucks going downslope to get it there?

Mission Hills isn't a war zone yet. Just a few miles east you have Van Nuys and Pacoima where gangs thrive without police interference. Straight up Sepulveda BLVD and past the FWY.

What are you suggesting here? That her story is false and she threw a live baby onto the Fwy?

But she was probably lying about the park and the abduction. The story sounded fishy to even the newsguy who read it this morning. And now she is saying she hit her OWN head and somehow got, in the front seat of her car, from the park in Lancaster to the park-n-ride in Palmdale.

My guess is that she and/or the other person involved were in the valley somewhere when the baby was either killed accidentally or murdered; they left the body there in the bushes by the freeway on their way back up to the Antelope Valley. They roughed the mom up for the excuse — or maybe she just got roughed up by someone for real - and left her at the Park-n-Ride.

I too have had many years fighting infertility and would have taken her in and given that baby a beautiful life. It breaks my heart.
