Dead toddler was dumped along freeway

A toddler whose mother said the girl had been abducted during a violent attack was dumped near a San Fernando Valley freeway, according to L.A.
County sheriff's homicide detectives who are investigating the 18-month-old girl's death. [Updated 4 p.m.: An earlier version of this post said the girl was 30 months old. The Sheriff's Department reports that she was 18 months old.]
Authorities said the body was dumped near the 5 Freeway sometime in the last 24 hours. The Sheriff's Department spent most of last night trying to find the child.
But detectives found several inconsistencies in the mother's story and received information that suggested Emma Leigh Barker was in Mission Hills and was dead.
The mother is cooperating with investigators and is not now a suspect. But Lt. Pat Nelson told reporters that might change as the investigation continues.

Actually liberals would call this Post-Term abortion. No big deal. I lost a child (not a toddler, grown) and I cannot imagine why anyone would harm a child. These stories cut deep and my heart breaks for the child.
Even animals carry their dead and protect them from vultures.

Deputies found the mother semiconscious and partly undressed with visible contusions on her head, officials said.

Reading the police saying “that may change” in regard to the mother being involved and why would she be in a park with an 18-month-old at 11 o’clock at night. Doesn’t pass the smell test... I hope I’m wrong.
Rest well, little girl. Someday every debt will be paid, down to the last penny.

I just don’t understand these people. If they don’t want these kids why don’t they put them up for adoption or let other people take custody of them? Breaks my heart.
We have to keep in mind, that there’s a lot of good, too.

That's not the story linked. It said the Mom hit her head on the steering wheel after placing this precious angel in the car seat at 5 p.m. and was unconscious until 10:30 p.m. and then discovered her baby was missing. She was unconscious for 5-1/2 hours hitting her head on a steering wheel? Either the reporter left out huge pieces of the story or her explanation smells to high heaven.
Hopefully whoever did this to a harmless child will face unimaginable punishment by prison inmates before meeting his/her maker and suffer for all eternity.
