The leader of the nation's largest veterans organization says he is "deeply disappointed and concerned" after a meeting with President Obama today to discuss a proposal to force private insurance companies to pay for the treatment of military veterans who have suffered service-connected disabilities and injuries. The Obama administration recently revealed a plan to require private insurance carriers to reimburse the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in such cases.
"It became apparent during our discussion today that the President intends to move forward with this unreasonable plan," said Commander David K. Rehbein of The American Legion. "He says he is looking to generate $540-million by this method, but refused to hear arguments about the moral and government-avowed obligations that would be compromised by it."

Well the $540 million can offset Air Force One operating costs, as well as Queen Nancy’s air travel, for the next year.
ACORN desperately needs money.
Poetry slams for crack babies....
Lots of good causes.
I believe that Obama is trying to subtly start an armed rebellion. He wants to institute martial law, I personally believe. Emotionalists who don’t use their brains before their triggers are playing right into the tyrant-wantabee’s hands.
Only thing is ... what about the stuff going on in stopping ammunition being available? and guns? and the proposed national security force?, and the coming of UN troops into America?
If they get all of these intentions into law quickly ... which it appears they are doing ... We can wait too long.
Isn't there something to do now? Meaningful?
You’re right. We are up against Pure Evil. There is no other explanation.
Reminds me of when soldiers were buying their own ammo for target practice.
And this from Bush years

Gen. Byrne says stories about families in Oregon having to go out and buy for their sons and daughters radio equipment, body armor, GPS gear, computers and night vision goggles because they weren’t being issued are true.
He said some Guard units are also using Vietnam era M-16 assault rifles, which he calls adequate for state duty but not acceptable for duty in Iraq. There is also a bullet shortage for training, he says.
It bothers him, but “there’s nothing I can do about it,” he says.
“If I was making the decisions, I would readjust,” he says. “The soldier on the ground should be a focus. When that’s taken care of you can take care of other stuff.”
The so called clothing allowance never made a dent in my uniform expenses either.
so is obama going to make insurance companies waive pre existing conditions for this men and women? i don’t see how he can make the private industrys pay for service related injuries and illness. and of course we all know that our premiums will go up to cover the increase in what the insurance companies have to pay out.
He’s a little sneaky butt. Just like not outlawing guns, but instead causing ammunition not to be made, he figures that this will keep people from volunteering
the pics say it all don’t they.....
I agree we need to act now before its too late. Its way past time for the million man march with torches, pitchforks, tar and feathers and literally tar and feather these corrupt sob’s.
The big question is what is taking so long? Do we have to be literally incarcerated in prison camps before we act?
Armed rebellion will do nothing but give this potential dictator what he wants.
Sure Obama, right after you and Mrs. Obama start paying market rate rent for the Whitehouse. It ought to be worth $20,000 a month don’t you think?
This makes me mad enough to want to surround the Whitehouse with vets and those of us who are tea party fans. It would be hard for the media to ignor a 2-3 million person march on the WH!
Congress critters can pay their own med bills, I am sure Teddy’s bills are quite high.
All that is just “rumor” and “hear say” right now. He tries any of that stuff, he will feel the repurcussions a lot sooner than 2010
Probably because we are too stuck in our comfortable life and no one is knocking our door down yet.
Why else?
That is the sad part.
