ANN ARBOR, MI – Late this morning, the Navy-Marine Corps Court of Criminal Appeals sitting in Washington DC, released their unanimous decision upholding the dismissal of charges against Marine Lt. Col Jeffrey Chessani on the grounds of apparent Unlawful Command Influence. But the case may not be over yet.
For the last four years, LtCol Chessani has been investigated and prosecuted for his involvement in the so called “Haditha Massacre” – a massacre that never happened. A 22-year veteran, Chessani has served three tours of duty in Iraq. He served in the First Persian Gulf War and in Panama. At the time of the November 19, 2005 Haditha incident, he was the Battalion Commander of 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines (“The Thundering Third”) – one of the most decorated units in the history of the Marine Corps.
Richard Thompson, President and Chief Counsel of the Thomas More Law Center, observed, “LtCol Chessani, one of the most effective combat commanders we had in Iraq, was a made political scapegoat by the civilians in the Pentagon to appease the antiwar politicians and a liberal media. In fact, we now know that the story of the ‘massacre’ that prompted the Haditha prosecutions was a headline in a Time news article instigated by insurgent propaganda operatives.”

Fred,
God Bless you and your nephew... I am unable to follow the vast amount of pings I get, on so many issues, in the way I would enjoy doing so, due to 3:30AM wake ups to be at work at 5:00AM on some days on other days to have to somehow maintain huge amount of aisles at my Home Depot where I may have to for five or more hours during a evening shift, somehow repair the hundreds of boxes the asshole low life people who walk my store in Philly, rip apart, roam the aisles pulling shit off the shelves, break dozens of light bulbs I may have to clean up, do all the shelf maintenance alone for hours on end, answer tons of questions by people who should never even be in the store seeking free guidance on how to re-wire their houses, install new breaker boxes etc., and on and on then closing the store at 10PM and having to continue to somehow alone clean up a total huge electrical department of the damage, and then count wire losses and a number of other things ... I feel like Jesus being pulled at all day long...from the masses...then close my department alone at 11PM making it look like no one rip the store apart.
So I somehow have difficulty following all the tons of stuff I try to keep up with at this site, often in the ways of pings.
So forgive me. I am not sure how to answer your question.

Its an answer to prayer but not over yet. Keep praying. To me, it will only be over when 1) all of the Marines involved have been publicly apologized to for this travesty, 2) Murtha is sitting in a federal prison for exerting improper command influence, and 3) said ex-Marine is facing multiple, massive civil suits for slander.
As you say, keep praying.

Unfortunately, it isn’t over yet. If you’re interested, see #116 for the Haditha ping list.

He has, though, been vindicated by the other trials. They found no massacre. You can hardly be held responsible for not reporting a massacre that never happened.
That’s it in a nutshell.
It did not happen. He can’t be guilty.
Now the railroading might just come to an end, too....finally.
