I may not agree with Meghan McCain on politics, but I agree with her that personal attacks do not win anyone over.

Agree. It was catty to say the least and Laura is in the wrong here.
At any rate, I don’t think Meghan is fat and I believe Laura’s intention was to be hurtful. It bothers me to say that as I’m very quickly losing respect for many of the conservative women.
With guys, it seems to be different. The men in my life insult one another constantly and they all get a laugh out of it. But when women start doing it, they’re rarely good-natured about it.
