Why would Specter want to switch parties? He has more power as the GOP ranking member on the Judiciary Committee than he would have as a Democrat, with Leahy as the chairman.

I believe he was a democrat until around ‘64. Changed to Republican so he could get voted into some office. And,, as he has everything a$$ backwards, he’s a nacilbupeR!
