Cynicism plays into the hands of tyrants as well.
Sure, it’s frustrating. I’ve certainly had my moments.
But the founders didn’t quit because one-third of the country wanted to smooch the King’s behind, did they?
Lose it. Fight them! Remember Thermopylae! Let those that don’t fight suffer lives as slaves—I’ll die fighting, happily!
But to throw in the towel because enough of us haven’t decided to fight back yet is only contributing to our downfall.
I’m ready and willing to die to defend my family’s freedom.
They may end up lugging my corpse to a ditch somewhere but I would have died fighting tooth-and-nail to remain a free man, by God in heaven!
Those of a similar constitution please speak up!
