It will always be “voluntary”.

But there will be severe consequences if you don’t “volunteer”...

Income tax is voluntary.

You can choose not to work so you don’t have to pay them.

Didn’t you hear? obama thinks that the Constitution is *fundamentally flawed*.

I’m guessing that this is only one of the areas he thinks needs revising.

We had a draft for decades, in peacetime even. The courts never struck that down, and not for lack of folks trying to get them to do so, especially during Vietnam.

Congress shall make no law ... abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press;

Didn’t seem to slow “Campaign Finance Reform” down a whole lot.
